The Happy Hour Print - Size 24 x 31 Inches including border unframed. The intense esprit d' corps felt by U.S. Marines of all ages is vividly brought to life in this painting by the artist, a retired U.S. Marine infantry officer.

On 10 November 1775, the Continental Congress authorized the raising of two battalions of American Marines.
Since then, U.S. Marines have distinguished themselves in action in every corner of the globe. The Corps exemplifies that military attitude called, "Esprit d' Corps".
Esprit d' corps binds warriors together as a fighting unit. Some describe it as an intense "all for one and one for all" attitude. The camaraderie manifested is displayed in many ways - in battle, on the parade ground, and in the daily life of a military unit. Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, and Airmen may go to war for their country, but they fight and die for each other on the battlefield.
The intense esprit d' corps felt by U.S. Marines of all ages is vividly brought to life in this painting by the artist, a retired U.S. Marine infantry officer with more than 30 years active service afloat and ashore.
As eloquently expressed by the Marines' Hymn, "Here's health to you and to our corps..."
The Marines enjoying "Happy" Hour" are from various periods in Marine Corps history. They are celebrating the bonds that make all generations of Marines brothers. Each wears the uniform of his time: from the green coated Leatherneck of the War of Independence, to the modern Marine in the famous dress blues recognized the world over.
